1908 to set a new low in entertainment standards at the so-named First Annual FunFest At RockCentrE (FFARCE), happening Saturday, 15th August 2009, at 3935 NE 15th Avenue in Portland, Oregon. Doors open at 1:00 P.M. and close irretrievably at 11:00 P.M.. 1908 is scheduled to play from 4:00 P.M. until 5:15 P.M., between The Hand That Bleeds and Party Killer. Which is to say: right where it belongs.
These are details. Now for generalisations.
The programme for 1908 will consist of monologue, electric toothbrushes, ambient pickups, monophonic booping. We cannot describe accurately any other expectations for other performers, nor express any interest.
The goal is to prevent Second Annual.
1908 is described in the programme as 'not the douchey Wisconsin band on myspace'. As you will already know, 1908 has never even been to Wisconsin, nor does it intend to visit.
The show is free, and those with feelings (of generosity, specifically) may contribute $2-$5. Attempts to donate greater amounts will result in donors being turned away at the door. Attempts to take money from previously-accepted donations will result in performances of greater quality.
Food will be provided. Rest locations will be provided. Drinks will be provided. Music will be provided for. By special request, please bring own entertainment.
